Whole30 Days 17 & 18

Here is a recap of days 17 & 18 on the Whole30.

Day 17: 

Breakfast: Homemade Turkey Patties and Sweet Potato Hash

Lunch: Salad (leftover green beans, balsamic vinegar, EVOO, lettuce, avocado, olives), blueberries

Dinner: Zoodles with homemade arugula pesto and ground meat, Strawberry fruit bar

After Dinner Snack: Apple with Almond Butter

What I drank: Water, Ginger Tea, Homemade coconut milk

How I felt: Stomach is starting to feel better but still not 100%. Mark is really struggling with tummy problems. He has never had digestive issues before, so its almost like the diet has the opposite affect on him, but he is committed to sticking with it to the end. I have noticed that my skin has started to clear up. Yay, finally I can no longer have spots on my face now that I’m 30. Also have noticed that I am sleeping better. Have only had one wake-up each night rather than the 3-4 bathroom breaks I used to have to take.

Day 18: 

Breakfast: Homemade Turkey Patties and Sweet Potato Hash

Lunch: Salmon Salad (Canned Salmon, balsamic vinegar, EVOO, lettuce, avocado, olives)

Afternoon Snack: Grapes

Dinner: Shrimp, carrots, mushrooms and yellow squash

After Dinner Snack: Raspberries (fresh from the farmer’s market) and homemade coconut milk

What I drank: Water, Ginger Tea, Kombucha, decaf coffee

How I felt: Stomach is starting to feel back to my normal. Still not sure why we were both suffering, but glad that it has mostly passed.

Exercise: Climbed to the top of Queen Anne Hill and back.
