Whole30 Days 12-14

Here is a recap of days 12 – 14 on the Whole30.

Day 12: 

Breakfast: Pork Sausage links from Whole Foods (ingredients, pork and salt) and Sweet Potato Hash

Lunch: Apple and Almond Butter (we ran out of food, so I didn’t have anything else for lunch)

Dinner: Cod (with shallots and garlic), Sweet Potato Mash, Squash


After Dinner Snack: Applesauce

What I drank: Water, Mint Green Tea, Decaf Coffee

How I felt: Have way more energy and feel really good. My stomach is still not bloated, and I feel like I am starting to get the benefits of the Whole30.

Day 13: 

Late Breakfast: Whole30 Compliant Bacon, Avocado and Sweet Potato Hash


Snack: Grapes

Dinner: Chicken Thigh, Cabbage, Ginger, Garlic and Cauliflower Rice Stir Fry

After Dinner Snack: Apple and homemade almond butter

What I drank: Water, water with a splash of pomegranate juice,  Decaf Coffee

How I felt: Still lots of energy today. We went to a Mariners game and it was really hard not to give in to the temptation of the ballgame foods. But we were good and ate our Apple and Almond butter instead.

Exercise: 2.8 miles (one loop of Discovery Park)

Day 14: 

Late Breakfast: Avocado and Sweet Potato Hash

Early Dinner: Steak, lettuce salad (olive oil/balsamic vinegar), oven baked sweet potato fries, frozen mushrooms from Trader Joes


After Dinner Snack: Strawberries

What I drank: Water, Decaf Coffee

How I felt: Still feeling lots of energy. We went to Cinerama and the smell of the chocolate popcorn was tantalizing, but we made do with coffee as our movie snack. My stomach and colon really started hurting after dinner. I can’t really determine what it could have been. The only thing that I am thinking is that we shared a grill from our apartment building and there could have been some cross contamination when grilling the steak. Any of reason why my dinner could have caused me issues?
